    The Fore! Fitness program is a golf-specific exercise program.  It is designed to improve athletic performance on the golf course by increasing:

    • Strength
    • Endurance  
    • Power  
    • Flexibility  
    • Spinal Stability

      

    Many golfers refrain from strength training because they believe it will have a negative effect on their performance by reducing range of motion.  However, studies have shown that strength training can increase club head speed, thus increasing driving power.  Endurance allows you to stay consistent throughout your game, avoiding faults in form due to fatigue. Also, proper flexibility can decrease the risk of injury and allow for full range of motion through the golf swing. 

    DCH Certified Golf Therapists provide a program of golf-specific stretching, strengthening and endurance exercises.  The implementation of these exercises can be done at the DCH Rehab Department or independently.
