Nutrition Services

Dickinson County Healthcare System employs Registered Dietitians who provide one-on-one nutrition counseling to people on an inpatient and outpatient basis in the following areas of concern:

• Cancer
• Celiac disease
• Chronic kidney disease
• Diabetes
• Eating disorders
• Failure to thrive
• Food allergies
• Healthy eating
• Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol)
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Hypoglycemia
• Nutrition support / tube feeding
• Sports nutrition
• Weight gain
• Weight loss
• Weight management

A physician referral is required to access these outpatient services.  Many insurances cover these services on an outpatient basis, but you should check with your insurance carrier prior to your appointment to be sure.
