We, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, believe that every patient should have easy access to his or her health information at any time.
We are pleased to present this opportunity through the use of a secure internet portal. Using this portal, you will be able to access your health information online.
• What do I need to access the portal?
All you need to activate this service is a valid email address that you provide at the time of your hospital visit / clinic visit.
Please refer to the instructions inside this brochure for any questions or concerns you may have with setting up your account.
• Is there a separate Portal for Hospital and Physician Office visits?
No. It is the same Patient Portal. You will only need to set up your account one time whether you’ve had a hospital or clinic visit.
• What will I see on the patient portal?
You will be able to access information from your visit, procedures, pathology reports, lab and radiology results, vitals, allergies, and more—all in one place!
• What will I NOT see on the patient portal?
You will not see physician dictated notes such as inpatient admission notes, inpatient progress notes, office notes, emergency department notes, and discharge summaries.
• When will I see my medical information?
Most services that you have at DCHS need to be reviewed by a physician in order to diagnose and determine if there is a present condition. It can typically take approximately 2-3 business days for a physician to review your services.
There is a possibility that your services may not have been reviewed by a physician at the time you access your records. You may need to allow more time for the physician and check back later.
• Who do I contact with questions regarding my test results?
Only your healthcare provider has the necessary information to fully address the best answer to your questions. After you review the results of your tests, you will need to contact the ordering physician / practitioner or specialist with any questions or concerns you may have.
• Who do I contact if I am having problems accessing the patient portal?

• Is there a fee associated with using the patient portal?
No. This valuable and convenient service is completely free.
