For the past two decades, Dickinson County Healthcare has been fortunate to have Dr. Charlene Greene as a Family Medicine provider, at the Florence Medical Center. After a 38-year career as a medical professional, Dr. Greene has announced her intention to retire at the end of 2021. Dr. Greene provided 21 years of dedicated service at Dickinson County Healthcare System and outstanding care for patients of our local communities.
“I want to thank the Florence community for welcoming me into their lives,” said Dr. Greene. “I am so blessed that you trusted me to care for you and your families through good times and bad. In retirement, I look forward to spending more time with my family and doing a bit of traveling. I know I am leaving the Florence Medical Center in capable hands.”
Joining the Dickinson County Healthcare-Florence team is Dr. Erin DePrekel.
Board certified in Family Medicine, Dr. DePrekel looks forward to working with patients to continue the excellent care they’ve received in our Florence Medical Center under Dr. Greene.
Dr. DePrekel earned her doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, WA. She has special interests in Diabetes Management, Hepatitis C, Concussion, and Lymphatics.
Dr. DePrekel is excited to take part in winter activities, picking up cross-country skiing and volunteering for the UP 200 Sled Dog Race. “I always want to invest in people. I wanted to have an interesting challenge to address each day,” she said. “This community has deep social ties and a strong commitment to each other. I am excited to be part of it.”
