Women’s Health Team expands services with the addition of Sadie McGillviray, FNP-C

Dickinson County Healthcare System (DCHS) is excited to add to its growing team of excellent health care providers for the Iron Mountain community.  Sadie McGillviray, FNP-C is expanding the expertise in women’s health, including obstetrics and gynecology and will be practicing at the Dickinson OB/GYN Clinic.

As a family medicine provider, Sadie specializes in health care services for women of all ages. Her passions include birthing, family planning, pelvic examinations and solving chronic health issues. Sadie has worked in health care since 2011 as an ICU Registered Nurse at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, and most recently as an operating room RN at DCHS while continuing her education.

Sadie is ambitious and looking forward to serving the community. She notes, “We are so much more than our physical health, and my practice philosophy is to treat the whole patient, not just a disease. It is my goal to get to know my patients on a deeper level. I truly cannot wait to be involved in the care of this community for many years to come.”

Sadie earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marian University in Fond du Lac, and master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Ill. She is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. A northern Wisconsin native, Sadie enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, spending time with her husband Ryan and two Siberian Husky dogs, and finding adventure wherever they travel.

Building a trusting and compassionate relationship with her patients is what Sadie likes most about being a health care provider. She has a focused expertise for providing care for the entire patient, including mind, body, and spirit.

“I have taken great interest in practicing Women’s health and am inspired by my patients’ strength, compassion and ambition. It is my desire to help guide these strong women toward a path of wellness,” Sadie said.To schedule an appointment with women’s health specialist Sadie McGillviray, FNP-C, call the DCHS OB/GYN Clinic at 906-776-5982.
